The Helicopter Academy to Train by Simulation of Flying (HATSOFF), the joint venture owned equally by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and CAE, announced on March that its simulator cockpit for the civil/conventional variant of the Dhruv has arrived at the HATSOFF training centre in Bangalore following design and manufacture at CAE’s facility in Montreal, Canada. The Dhruv simulator cockpit will now be installed and integrated with the CAE-built full-mission simulator currently in operation at HATSOFF.   The cockpit for the civil/conventional variant of the Dhruv is the second for the HATSOFF training centre, and will be ready-for-training in May 2011.  The first cockpit for the simulator represents the Bell 412 helicopter.  Training for Bell 412 operators commenced in July 2010.

L’Académie pour l’Entraînement sur Hélicoptère par Simulation de Vol (HATSOFF), société en partenariat détenue par moitié respectivement par Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) et CAE, a annoncé en mars l’arrivée au centre d’entraînement HATSOFF de Bangalore du cockpit de simulation de la version civile  du Dhruv. Le cockpit de simulation Dhruv, conçu et fabriqué à l’usine de CAE de Montréal, au Canada, va maintenant être installé et intégré au simulateur de mission globale construit par CAE et actuellement en service au HATSOFF.   La version civile/conventionnelle du Dhruv est le second simulateur du centre d’entraînement HATSOFF et sera opérationnel en mai prochain. Le premier simulateur qui avait équipé le centre représentait le Bell 412, l’entraînement des opérateurs avait commencé en juillet 2010.
