In Portugal, Helitech 2010 was organized around the theme of fighting forest fires. At the airfield in Cascais, two Ecureuils equipped with Bambi Buckets and a ventral kit fitted with a pump performed a mission under real conditions. The Bambi Bucket is a suspended container containing 600 to 3000 liters of water. This equipment makes it possible to supply water quickly using water sources located close to the fire. This method provides a nearly continuous supply of water to the firefighters engaged on the ground.
